Career, Employment and Youth Services Division

The Career, Employment and Youth Services Division develops programs and services all across the province, that help people plan for, find and keep jobs.

Services

The Career, Employment and Youth Services (CEYS) Division

  • develops employment and career programs;
  • develops employment and career plans with eligible people;
  • partners with the federal government, other provincial departments and community agencies to develop and deliver programs and services that help people find and maintain jobs;
  • co-ordinates and delivers labour market adjustment programs; and
  • helps people research, explore and make decisions about careers, training and job options.

With the help of partners, these services are offered throughout communities across the province. This ensures that everyone has equal access to career development resources and job opportunities.

Programs and Services available include:

  • Employment Counselling Services (for eligible clients)
  • Labour Market Agreement for Persons with Disabilities (LMAPD)
  • Employment (wage subsidy) Programs
  • Community Partnerships
  • Youth Services

Clients

  • Students (highschool and post-secondary) can access youth programs. These programs help youth gain experience, access education supports and receive guidance in career planning.
  • People who may be planning to enter or rejoin the workforce can use our services. Whether you are interested in researching the current job market or would like to expand your professional training, employment and career services can help you get started as you plan your future.
  • Career, Employment and Youth Services (CEYS) also has programs in place to assist persons with disabilities. If you have a physical or mental disability there are services that can help you enter the labour market
