Post-Secondary Instructor Certification

The requirements to obtain Post-Secondary Instructor Certification are the following Memorial University Education Courses (or equivalent):

  • ED2710 - Course Organization and Development
  • ED2720 - Introduction to Post-Secondary Education
  • ED2730 - General Methods of Teaching in Post-Secondary Education
  • ED2801 - The Adult as Learner
  • ED3280 - Educational Assessment
  • ED3801 - Educational Media

Individuals who possess a Bachelor of Post-Secondary Education degree or a Master of Education degree qualify for Post-Secondary Instructor Certification.

Application for the Post-Secondary Instructor Certificate must be made to the Director of Institutional Services, and shall include: 1) a letter of request and 2) an official Memorial University transcript showing completion of required courses/degree(s).
