Grants to Youth Organizations

Who Does it Serve?

This program is available to youth-serving organizations in Newfoundland and Labrador who engage youth in areas of self-reliance, leadership and citizenship development.

Description

There are two types of grants available:
  • Administrative Grants – a contribution towards the operational requirements of a youth-serving organization.
  • Service Agreements for Youth – funding for specific services or events targeted to youth.
The application for Administrative Grants or Service Agreements for Youth will be assessed based upon whether the program or service to be offered to youth:
  • is consistent with Advanced Education and Skills' mandate of enhancing the social, career, leadership and participation of youth within community opportunities
  • is well-defined (i.e. includes goals, objectives and methods of service delivery)
  • addresses a gap in service within the community
  • complements other services provided by Department of Advanced Education and Skills.

Description

To apply, complete the Grants to Youth Organizations program application form (65 KB) and return to the Department of Advanced Education and Skills, as noted on the application, or call 709-729-0725.
