Description
Students
- exposed to small business and entrepreneurial activity as a viable and worthwhile career option
- provided a work-term placement related to their field of study; placement will be within Newfoundland and Labrador
Small Businesses
- exposed to the value of co-operative education
- provided an opportunity to build their future workforce
- 50% wage subsidy towards the student's salary up to a maximum of $6.00

- Non-for-profit organizations
Description
Students
- provided a work-term placement (generally 12 - 16 weeks) at a not-for-profit organization within rural Newfoundland and Labrador
- gain valuable work experience related to their field of study
Not-for-profit Organizations
- exposed to the value of co-operative education
- provided an opportunity to build their future workforce
- The wage subsidy is for the amount of NL minimum wage. Anything above that is the
organization's responsibility
